The Challenge
The same lakefront home on Logan Martin Lake that had received solar-control film on the lake-facing elevation (see case study cs-9) returned to Solar Busters for a second phase of work. The master bathroom and two guest bathrooms had clear glazing facing the neighbouring property and the shared dock access path. The homeowners wanted privacy film that would complement the home's interior aesthetic — a relaxed, natural lakehouse style — without making the bathrooms feel closed-off.
The Solution
Solar Busters specified Avery Dennison Architectural Frosted Series in a soft linen-texture pattern for all three bathrooms — 320 sq ft of glazing in total. The linen texture was selected to complement the home's natural material palette and to diffuse light softly rather than blocking it. The film was installed in a single half-day visit. The homeowners also added a matching frosted band to the kitchen window above the sink, which faced the dock path.

Project Gallery
"The linen pattern was exactly the right choice for this house. It looks like it belongs here — not like a privacy fix. The light in the bathrooms is soft and natural. We're very happy with both phases of the project."
